Site Fee Differentials

Post by Static » 3 years ago

Madi, what about new owners paying more than older owners ? New owners here on Craig tara are paying 50% more than the older owners who are still on the old Butlins contracts !

To the OP, decide what your Tourer is worth from looking at Classifieds/speaking to dealers. Then once your settled on a Static, ask on here what others have paid for the same, site fees will be fixed do they're easy to factor in. Your in a strong position really as they won't have to give you any discount if they don't want to show other buyers, they can just over allow on your part exchange !

We got a 2014 Salsa Eco at the end of last season and managed to get a substantial saving despite initially saying they couldn't discount.

Keith.

This supposedly diferencial of site fees for old and new owners, if true, seems to be an ideal subject for a separate topic.

I agree, surely fees should be set by area your caravan is in that is what we were told when we bought ours, I understand people who have been on the same plot for years won't and shouldn't be the same as new buyers but the difference shouldn't be as big as it is, people moving from a lower priced area should not be able to move to a bigger priced area and pay the same as there old fees, which is what has happened where we are.

That is one of the benefits owners get for loyalty.
Despite the large amount of extra income they could generate BL will not put up the site fees of long-standing owners to the same price level as new owners.

Sorry Keith but I dont agree - are you now casting BL in the role of benefactor just because they dont increase site fees beyond the agreed annual increase? Far from generating more income, this would generate huge amounts of ill-feeling and many owners leaving park I should think! Im all for credit where its due, but this is bestowing virtue on BL for sticking to what we were all promised. My area is a sight worse than when the van was first planted there......I havent asked for a reduction!

ours has gone down too, we used to be all owners on our rows, now its 50% fleet vans, but our fees haven't reduced either. There again somebody has to pay for the fleet van site fees, and water.
