The credit will be applied to your account by the end of January 2014."

We have paid ours leaving £80 which will be take the account to £0 once the discount is applied.
That's what we did last year.

Hope we have got this right. BL you are confusing me!
Mummybear you have answered your own question
"if you leave a £0 balance by dec 31 2013 the credit will be applied January"
If you have paid less £80 your balance Is not £0 it is +£80

Hi all,

I've spoken to the team and they've confirmed that you can do either. Pay the balance leaving the discount amount outstanding which will then be cleared to zero, or pay the balance to zero and be credited with the discount.

Hope that makes it clearer?
Madi

Glad to have copied Madi's previous post of 8 November for clarification.

Thanks Mevennais.

That is what I believed to be correct but the recent email from BL said it had to be £0

Your email was probably sent out by an ex BL salesperson. Designed to confuse.

Happy New Year everybody.

This seems to be causing some confusion again this year.

I was going to leave £80 owing but other owners are saying I have to pay it all leaving a £0 balance to get the £80 discount.

I'm leaving £80 on account like last year, which went down to zero in January.
I know BL are saying your account has to be zero at year end, but do we always believe what BL says!

I spoke to BD office yesterday and have been told that you must pay full amount to get the credit if you pay less the £80 your account will not be zero so you will not receive it. Unlike previous years when you could pay it minus the credit
