How far do you travel to your park?

Post by Keith » 11 years ago

I travel to Presthaven most weekends - I finish early on Friday and drive down aiming to get there about teatime. Bolton to Gronant = 67 miles - takes me about 80 mins if traffic is ok.

I.m lucky only half an hour away from the Park, but I used to travel to Silloth on Solway, Cumbria over a period of 10 yrs to our previous Park. Rougly 2/3 hr drive depending on traffic through Carlisle. Thats one of the reasons I changed to a Park more local to me.

Bedford > Mablethorpe approx 120 miles takes me an average 3 hours max at 50-60mph but worse part is Boston, always delays here :(
Could do journey faster but i'm past racing around & once ive left home i'm unwinding for the break at the coast & usually stop for a couple of Mcd's coffee/toilet breaks.

we travel about......................5 mins,we live in cleethorpes!
makes it great when meeting new visitors, and checking caravan before we hand bond back! and any problems we can be at the caravan as soon as we get the phone call.
having the caravan and site so near makes it great for family and friends who stop.
