The park pays VAT because its a commercial supply, which is then also divided amongst owners? But if we had seperate bills we wouldnt pay it as domestic users?? Im only guessing!

That's it, have now ordered water meter. Gonna fix it, out of sight, inside caravan and will keep people updated with my readings of water used. I may add this is only for research at moment, not trying to change Havens pricing policy. But would be good if others thought to do same and get a average costing across the country. If anyone would like to join in taking part I am more that willing to do the number crunching.

Everyones cost per unit will be different as we all use different amounts of water. Not sure if they give a cost per unit as we are not on meters.
Can I just ask for anymore info please pm me as getting lots of interest but want to now keep it under wraps

Just concerned that TforTerry wanted to keep it under wraps.

I think the figures should be interesting.

Also is the level of any Supply Costs. Is the view that this set by the water board or by Haven.

It’s interesting how the threads of this post are going. For all the right reasons it could be seen as non-productive and divisive.

The Fuel Deposit was successful in that it was supported by all and seen as a common front to Haven and eventually was successful.

Whilst I agree with the sentiment and am really annoyed by the prices set for Water and Sewerage it has all the symptoms of “I’m Alright Jack” because I will put a meter in and pay less (an assumption).

However, it does run the risk of setting metered owners against non-metered owners (irrespective of why they won’t/can’t install a meter) and potentially private sub-letters against Haven sub-letters. This could weaken any negotiating stance the Forum will have with BL.

The other risk for the Forum is that if BL will not agree to any changes, or delaying tactics are employed, these rifts could remain.
