A fraudster who sold non-existent caravan holidays has been jailed for 10 months.
Samuel Higgins, 30, advertised holidays at Butlins in Rhyl, Denbighshire, and Skegness, Lincolnshire.
He was traced to a caravan park in Rhyl before he fled to Spain in 2013. He was arrested when he returned to the UK.
Higgins admitted four counts of fraud at Mold Crown Court on Tuesday and asked for 13 others to be taken into consideration, amounting to £8,500.
The court heard the holidays were advertised on Gumtree and victims handed over £350, only to find out the holidays were not available and their text messages and calls went unanswered.
Damian Zelazowski, defending, said Higgins sold caravan holidays legitimately to start with, but carried on when he lost his job..
