Haven to invest in new concepts

Post by Keith » 1 month ago

Haven is investing nearly £100 million creating new concepts to trial across five UK sites.

Developments are taking place over the winter at Hafan y Mor (Pwllheli), Craig Tara (Ayr), Haggerston Castle (Beal) and Hopton & Seashore (Great Yarmouth) ready for spring/summer 2019.

Gerard Tempest, guest and proposition director, explained: "Over the last couple of years, we've focused heavily on understanding what our guests want to see from the Haven experience of the future and how we can bring this to life across all our parks. We're now ready to take all these learnings into test and are busy developing new guest facilities.

"This is the start of our journey to trial what Haven of the future looks like and ensures that we continue to give all our guests the best possible experience every time they stay with us."

The developments include:

- An adventure village at Hafan y Mor, called Dragon Lakes Adventure Village, with junior segways and Segway adventures, mini 4x4 driving experience, climbing wall, and aerial adventure courses.

- An indoor activity area, known as the Lighthouse Harbour Adventure Village, at Craig Tara with climbing walls, interactive play areas and an indoor events arena.

- A new water park concept known as The Shore Water Park at the Seashore Holiday Park with a flume tower, aqua play area with giant tipping buckets, spray jets and slides, a water confidence toddlers pool and a 1.2m deep lanes and activities pool.

- A Play Village at Craig Tara where little ones can try their hand at becoming a chef, take the helm of an RNLI lifeboat, fill up their baskets in the tot-friendly shop, or show their talents on stage.

- New dining concepts at Hafan y Mor and Seashore, a state-of-the-art entertainment arena called The Marina Lounge at Hopton Holiday Village, and a Garden Atrium at Haggerston Castle Holiday Park.
