Another Question for Madi

Post by yorkshirebelle » 3 years ago

Hi Madi,
I am interested to know how Funworks pass prices are determined?
Owners subletting have to pay full prices for passes yet Haven advertise vans with 8 passes at sometimes less than just the cost of passes.
Sun £9.50 holiday guests can buy passes for £9.50
A tent pitched on touring off peak mid week cost £40 including passes.
Surely Owners could be offered passes at a discounted rate for their guests resulting in more guests buying passes =.more revenue for venues. Win win all round

Money for old rope isn't it?
Caravan hire for a weekend 25th July, £175.00
Passes for family for that weekend £124.00 and that's before Dad's even bought a pint!

Hello again,

I've spoken to Sam and following feedback from our owners (on here, when Keith came to visit us and when Sam met with him at Presthaven a few weeks ago) passes are currently being reviewed.

Any changes won't be made until next season but it is something they are looking in to. I'll update on here later this year/early next year/as soon as I have more info

Thanks
Madi

I don't let my caravan as a business like some do, I just let weeks I see fit too as we and our friends use it a lot too.
However, of those weeks I've sold to general public, only 3 sets have bought the passes, the rest feel it's not worth the money and it's better spent visiting local towns and attractions where they can do more for less money.
I also feel that the need to pay for passes to access the amusement arcades is quite bizarre.

Thanks again Madi

This is what I'm finding too whitey people are doing without passes when they find out the prices & spending off park which is of no benefit to BL
Some people don't want to swim or take advantage of the Showbars but may want a meal or a takeaway & cannot as they don't have a pass so again they go to the pub down the road or order a takeaway delivered to van from offsite.

So far this year none of my guests have bothered to buy passes, believing them to be too dear for what they would get out of them! Ok they have been mainly couples and didn't want to use the pool etc. So they spent their money off site too. Somethings wrong when you can rent a pitch with free passes and it works out cheaper than buying them separate!

I've also had guests who did not buy passes as too expensive and they take advantage of the surrounding area. It's not so bad at PV as you can access the eateries without a pass but I agree with Whitey it's absolutely frightening to have to pay to enter venues to spend money. I'm sure if it was free people would actually spend more.

This is exactly the point BL losing vasts amount of money by the price of passes been too expensive.
I don't think passes should be free but I think a nominal amount would be fair then more people would be happy to purchase them. :dontknow:
