Caister-on-Sea Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth opened in 1906, founded by activist John Fletcher Dodd It offered holidays to working families from east London who stayed in wooden huts sleeping on straw beds Babies were not allowed to stay at the park, alcohol was banned and loud talking after 11pm was frowned upon
